ESSENTIAL LEARNING OUTCOMES FROM 27 MARCH 2021 CASE REVIEW COMMUNITY WEBINAR:

  • Understand that fluoroscopy sees cortical bone parallel to the beam and that curved cortical surfaces will be seen over an arc of rotation of the C-arm.
  • Develop the ability to predict what the fluoro beam will show you by observing cortical surfaces on cross-sectional imaging.
  • Anticipate which orientation of the beam will give you a safe & effective trajectory when approaching curved cortical surfaces.
  • Utilize atypical, curved surfaces, like osteophytes, to allow access to difficult spaces.
